For over 20 plus years NuWa subsidiary Custom Campers has focused on smaller, lighter and more affordable 5th wheel trailers to complement the larger full timer units produced at the NuWa factory. This strategy has worked well, and the popularity of the HitchHiker II trailers over the years is evidence that Custom is exceptional at smaller unit design. By combining the design quality and experience of NuWa with the smaller unit focus of Custom, many of the popular floor plans in the industry today were born at Custom Campers. As well, NuWa's experience is evident in HitchHiker II's larger multi-glide models.

This tradition continues more than ever with the initial introduction in 2001 of the "new" HitchHiker II L/S (Lite-Series). This product has evolved in response to customers wanting a "quality choice" that was absent in the smaller and lighter products in the market place. Custom has done a tremendous job of creating exceptional floor plans that present livability that before could only be found in products several feet longer and considerably heavier. Add exceptional livability and storage, designer decors and NuWa's exclusive "Panel Core Super Structure Wall System" and you have a product that is second to none in "value" and incredibly reliable!

The 2008 model year brings more exciting changes as well as our continued commitment to creating great value in the product through "packaging." The "Value Package" and "Deluxe Package" are designed to include the most frequently requested options and offered to reduce the total price, increase value and upgrade appointments. Customers, who had previously viewed NuWa as a family of "high end" trailers only, are beginning to realize that Custom can provide the more affordable "value packed" 5th Wheel trailers that are in such demand today.
